Police investigating early morning robberies

A pair of South Shore robberies involving a similar suspect description has Kamloops RCMP Detachment looking for information.
The first robbery was reported around 2:30 a.m., March 15, 2023, when a man entered a gas station on the 900-block of Columbia Street and demanded cash. He fled northbound on foot. Three hours later, around 5:30 a.m., a retail location on the 1500-block of Summit Drive was also struck by a man matching the same description, who made off with cash. The suspect is believed to be associated to a small black car that left northbound on Summit Drive.
Kamloops RCMP frontline officers continue to investigate these robberies with the assistance of the General Investigation Support Team and Forensic Identification Unit,
said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. If anyone saw, heard, or captured video of anything that may be related, please contact police as soon as possible.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Between 30 and 40 years old
- 6’
- 200 pounds
Clothing description
- Black sweater with New Balance written on it
- Blue pants
- Black runners
- Black mask
