Ridge FYRST (Family and Youth Resource Support Team)
Ridge FYRST (Family and Youth Resource Support Team) is an early intervention program that works with youth grades 4-11 (ages 10-17), and their families, who may be demonstrating mild to moderate risk factors and negative behaviors.
The objective of the program is to build resilience for the youth through making connections to school, family, local resources and each other by building a trusting and positive relationship within the community. At this time, only professional referrals are currently being accepted.
Ridge FYRST consists of
- one RCMP Youth Liaison Officer,
- one Youth Outreach worker, and
- one Youth and Family Counsellor.
