Coquitlam RCMP seek dash-cam video in serious motorcycle collision

Coquitlam RCMP are seeking witnesses and dash-cam video for a serious motor vehicle collision in Coquitlam.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Coquitlam RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a black Hyundai and a motorcycle that had occurred at Johnson Street and David Avenue in Coquitlam.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai remained on scene.

The road was temporarily closed while first responders, including the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) were on scene. The Investigational Support Team (IST) has assumed conduct of the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the motorcycle or black Hyundai before the collision, to contact our investigators. Police are also seeking any video surveillance or dash camera footage of the area of Johnson Street and David Avenue in Coquitlam between 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
