Surrey RCMP re-appeal for missing person – Joseph Maku

Surrey RCMP is re-appealing for the public’s assistance in locating a male who has now been missing for over two weeks.

Joseph Maku who was reported missing on October 23, 2024 and has not been seen or heard from since October 22, 2024. (See previous release: Missing person to locate – Joseph Maku)

The Surrey RCMP Missing Persons Unit has conduct of the investigation and investigators have determined that Joseph boarded a number of transit buses that day between 3:50 pm and 6:30 pm, mainly between 120 Street and King George Boulevard.

The bus routes were as follows:

Police are sharing a new photo of Joseph as well as a map of the bus routes and locations where he boarded buses that afternoon. We are asking anyone who may have been traveling on those buses, to call Surrey RCMP if they recall seeing Joseph Maku that day, says Sgt. Tammy Lobb, Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer.

Joseph is described as an 18-year black male, 6′5″, 200 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and braces on his teeth. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with GAP written in white on the front, black North Delta Huskies basketball shorts, and black & white basketball shoes with reverse swoosh symbol.
